Spiced dry snakehead fish is one of the famous special products of Mekong Delta, traditional dry fish processing is popular in this delta, the raw fish is cleaned, doesn’t remove bone. The products are salted and spiced (sugar, flour, chili), dried, packaged and consumed.
In order to actively respond to climate change and rising sea level, taking and exploiting advantages of marine resources to accelerate regional economic - social development speed, Ministry of Technology and Technology assigned Southern Irrigation Science Research Institute to implement this project.
Research was implemented by lead author Nguyen Manh Son and Pham Bao Duong to analyze the factors affecting the land consolidation in the rural areas.
The maize contains a lot of biologically active substances, such as polyphenols, chlorophyll, lysine, vitamin, etc. In traditional medicine, it is used to treat different diseases: kidney stones, bladder stones, sweating, liver, kidney, etc.
In Vietnam, Trypanosomiasis has been appeared in many areas of the whole country by Trypanosoma evansi (T.evansi) with the incidence of buffaloes around 13-30%, cows around 7-14%, mortality around 6.3 - 20%.
To actively produce rice seeds in the locality, Vietnamese scientists studied and created many new hybrid rice combinations, including hybrid rice combinations of two lines: Vietnam hybrid rice 20, TH3-3, TH3-4, TH3 -5, TH7-2, HYT8 and etc. These combinations can give high quality, short growth period, the area is increasingly expanding.
Research the artificial marine tilapia breeds successfully will contribute to the protection of fishery resources and the diversity of freshwater aquatic species for An Giang province as well as Mekong Delta.
An Giang Council for Science and Technology has approved the project “techniques for dolphin artificial insemination in An Giang province”, Dr. Duong Nhat Long (Can Tho University) is project leader.
The project for "Tested production of two cold-resistant rubber varieties VNg77 and VNg77-2-4 in the Northern mountainous province" by Dr. Nguyen Van Toan - Northern Mountainous Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute, has obtained outstanding results.
Yen Bai province has more than 414 thousand forest hectares, in which the remains of 236, 805 ha of natural forests, 180 thousand hectares of planted forests. From frost periods in early January so far, many areas in the province, have no rain, dry weather, high fire risk.
