Sharing about the development and training of artificial intelligence human resources, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoai, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Artificial Intelligence, said to give a complete picture of Vietnam's artificial intelligence human resources, need the numbers.

Hoai said, in the process of working with many businesses and units (both private and state), awareness and demand for artificial intelligence application and data analysis is increasing due to the revolution of digital transformation is going strong. However, when talking with unit owners about difficulties encountered in the working process, experts always receive the answer: "The shortage of human resources is among the top 3 difficulties".

According to the director of the Vietnam Institute of Artificial Intelligence, artificial intelligence is gradually becoming an industry and a profession, so the difficulty in resources is a matter of the whole world. In particular, the shortage of human resources for artificial intelligence in Vietnam is quite large. Due to the fast and deep development, it is difficult to find a person who is good at all-round artificial intelligence. Therefore, it is necessary to train skills in each area of artificial intelligence. Building artificial intelligence models on data is just a small job in a whole process. To put artificial intelligence in practice includes many stages, requiring different skills and occupations.

To train human resources, Vietnam needs a clear picture of what artificial intelligence is. In recent years, universities in Vietnam have trained many specialties, but the number of students registered for training in artificial intelligence and data science is the lowest in the field of information technology.
