In the afternoon of June 19, the Ministry of Information and Communications (Ministry of Information and Communications) organized the launch of Vietnamese speech processing technology platform using artificial intelligence VAIS and Vbee.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Hung said: "VAIS and Vbee are two digital platforms" Make in Vietnam "chosen by the Ministry of Information and Communication to introduce and sponsor the communication under the National digital converter program.”

In particular, VAIS has been used by many state agencies at central and local levels, such as Party Central Office, Government Office, National Assembly Office, Ministry of Information and Communications, and Hanoi People's Committee, together with more than 50 units used by the press, television, serves to remove tapes of speeches at many meetings and events.

According to a press release by the Ministry of Information and Communications, VAIS is the core technology platform that converts Vietnamese voice into text (Speech to Text) with the following characteristics: Full recognition of speech in the North, Central and South regions with accuracy up to 95%; Convert Vietnamese voice into text with instant results; Good identification in noise environments and at long distances. The platform also features standardized output text: proper names, dates, numbers, etc., supporting a wide range of audio input formats; Provide solution for users directly or connect via API at: https://vais.vn/.

VAIS was researched and created by Vietnam Artificial Intelligence System Limited Company. This product has been awarded the first prize in Vietnamese Language & Speech Processing 2018/2019, with an accuracy of 95.2% for the removal of government tape and newspapers / television, as well as winning the Vietnamese First Prize Talents 2019 with Origin-STT voice-to-text software.
