On July 16, the Conference of deploying the "Artificial intelligence application solution contest (Al) in HCM City in 2020" took place in Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union. The contest is organized by the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City National University, Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association and Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union.
Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Triet, Vice Rector of the University of Natural Science - Ho Chi Minh City National University, a member of the jury, said the competition is for everyone who has products and initiatives that integrate artificial intelligence.
The competition is divided into two groups. Group 1 is the Artificial Intelligence Challenge (AI-Challenge) with the topic "Artificial intelligence with intelligent transport" organized in the form of a science competition, similar to the contests held in the world, in order to search effective solutions to life's problems. Contestants will develop artificial intelligence algorithms to solve practical problems, applications for Ho Chi Minh City traffic.
Group 2 is an Artificial Intelligence Application (AI-Solution), candidates will give solutions and products that apply artificial intelligence technology in production, business, transportation, finance, health, education, tourism, agriculture and social service.
Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Triet affirmed that the competition was held for the first time on a large scale. The competition aims to promote research activities, startup projects to innovate AI applications, encourage domestic and international individuals and research groups to propose and improve advanced AI applications in order to solve important problems for life.
"Besides, the competition contributes to widespread propaganda, creating a spread for artificial intelligence solutions, thereby creating the interest of individuals who can donate to build Ho Chi Minh City", Mr. Triet stressed. |
