The International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML) 2020 is taking place, bringing together the world's leading experts in AI and machine learning. Technology giants like Google, Facebook participated and introduced many important researches.

VinAI of Vingroup, representing Vietnam, has three published research works, equivalent to major research centers of Apple, NTT, NEC.

At ICML 2020, VinAI introduces: The optimal calculation method to compare distributions from big data; Dig deep into key representations from image data, video for optimal control problems and Propose an efficient deduction method for complex non-linear noron dynamic systems.

This is also the first time a unit from Vietnam  reaching the top 30 enterprises with the most published works at ICML. Three published works of VinAI Research focus on important issues in AI research at the present time.

The study of comparisons between distributions from big data is the basis for many machine learning algorithms, contributing to the promotion of unattended machine learning algorithms - one of the most interesting issues in AI, marketing computer vision, processing and understanding of natural language.

Meanwhile, studies of data representation and nonlinear dynamic systems are the basis for a breakthrough in the development of automation robots or self-driving cars.

Dr. Bui Hai Hung, Director of VinAI Research shared: “The world has gradually come to know about AI research in Vietnam from VinAI's efforts. We will continue to cooperate with the world's leading research institutes and technology universities to create a network of exchanges and research, gradually bringing the world's AI closer to Vietnam.”

Vietnamese businesses reach in the world top research

This is the first time a unit from Vietnam appears in the list of the top 30 enterprises with the most published works at ICML, along with strong countries in the field such as the US, UK, China, Canada, and etc.

The event has affirmed VinAI's position in the world technology community, and marked a turning point to become Vingroup's leading technology corporation, gradually integrating with global peak technology.
