Promulgating the National High-Tech Development Program up to 2030
The program sets the goal of developing and mastering 20 high technologies on the List of high technologies prioritized for investment and development, increasing the export value of hi-tech products to about 60% of the total export value in processing and manufacturing industry.

The list of high-tech and high-tech products associated with the National High-Tech Development Program to 2030 has added advanced technologies developing around the world.

On January 25, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 130 / QD-TTg promulgating the national program for high-tech development until 2030.

The program aims to develop and master 20 high technologies in the list of high technologies prioritized for investment and development to the advanced level in the region, effectively applying to the production of high-tech products, providing high-tech services for businesses.

The program also aims to increase the export value of hi-tech products to about 60% of the total export value in the manufacturing and processing industry, rapidly increasing the proportion of high-tech agricultural production value in the total value of agricultural production, creating new products and services with high added value. The old program only aimed to achieve 40%.

Along with that is to build and develop about 500 enterprises producing high-tech products and providing high-tech services under the List of high-tech products to be encouraged for development; to build and develop about 200 hi-tech agricultural enterprises with the cooperation and linkage of production chain from production to the processing and sale of agricultural products nationwide.

Previously, the Prime Minister issued a List of high-tech prioritized for investment and development and a List of high-tech products to be encouraged for development (Decision No. 38/2020 / QD-TTg, dated December 30). There are some correction points compared to the previous period.

Specifically, the newly issued List includes 99 items, an increase of 41 categories compared to the list under Decision No. 66/2014 / QD-TTg dated November 25, 2014. The added items are advanced technologies are developing all over the world, including Internet technology connecting things (IoT), blockchain technology (Blockchain), quantum technology, geomorphic technology (Geoinformatics) application in the hydro-meteorological system.

In addition, some categories have changed, such as "microbiological technology for treating environmental pollution" changed to "new generation microbiological technology", "special alloy manufacturing technology. "Changed to" technology for producing pure metals, special alloys "," nanomaterial technology "was specifically written into two categories of" advanced nanomaterial technology, nano coating "and" nanotechnology in production ”. This shows the update of the high-tech portfolio just issued.
