Immediately after Luc Ngan lychee was granted geographical indication, the People's Committee of Luc Ngan district coordinated with the Lychee Production and Consumption Association to focus on managing and planning production areas in accordance with the geographical indications in 17 communes of the district. Bac Giang province has implemented a project to develop lychee trees towards achieving national product criteria. Many scientific and technological projects are prioritized for implementation in order to improve productivity and quality of litchi, guide people to actively apply science and technology, and practice production according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, standard export to America and Europe; building a safe production process, meeting the strictest standards of advanced countries.

Vice Chairman of Luc Ngan District People's Committee Nguyen The Thi said that for many years, lychee growing areas here and some other communes have been produced according to GlobalGAP standards. In particular, 194.5 hectares have been converted to production under a stricter process for official export to Japan after Luc Ngan litchi was protected as a geographical indication in this market. In addition, people's production thinking has changed dramatically, focusing on creating high-quality and safe products, and at the same time expanding the area of application of advanced production processes and techniques to improve the quality of products add value to the product.

According to the assessment of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the geographical indication of Luc Ngan lychee has been successfully exploited and developed, which is typical of the application of science and technology to the development of key products of the locality. Bac Giang province expects lychee exports to increase in quantity, quality and product value in the coming time. The new problem that Bac Giang province poses for the science and technology industry for Luc Ngan lychee is that from production according to safety standards, it must be organically combined with building processes, standards, protection of industrial property rights to meet the increasing demands of consumers.
