Speaking at the opening of the training course, MSc. In order to implement the Strategic Plan of Intellectual Property and Development of Intellectual Property in Ho Chi Minh City until 2030 according to Decision No. 266/QD-UBND dated January 19, 2023 of the City People's Committee; improving intellectual property knowledge for the consideration of granting business registration certificates, limiting the granting of trade names that are likely to conflict rights with protected trade names or trademarks.

At the training class, Dr. Nguyen Huu Can - Deputy Director of the Institute of Intellectual Property Science, Ministry of Science and Technology introduced to the learners an overview of industrial property objects, protection mechanisms and bases for arising industrial property rights. At the same time, guidance on how to assess the possibility of confusing similarity between trade names, and trademarks. As well as, instructions on how to identify and handle violations of rights to trade names and trademarks.
