Chinese rescued hundreds of rare crocodile from Vietnam

According to Xinhua, while collecting information of residence registration on July 29, Quang Tay polices caught three men with a suspicious expression is moving rare crocodile outside of a house. When questioned, the two men on the truck escaped, the rest man was arrested on the spot.

When checking the house, the police found 399 young crocodiles about 15 days old. Chinese police said they originated from Vietnam and are waiting to be skinned to make wallets after mature.

Xiem crocodile is one of the crocodiles have a high risk of extinction in the planet. In 1992, they were almost extinct in the wild, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature, only a few surviving individuals were discovered. Freshwater crocodiles are native animals in Southeast Asia, but mainly live in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand.
