Green Technology Group won the first prize of VSIC 2017.
The impact of shrimp farming is severely damaged by the acute hepatopancreas syndrome (EMS), Mr. Tran Phuc Hau and his team of Green Technology Group researched to find solutions to help farmers.
When shrimps get sick, shrimp farmers use only chemicals and antibiotics to prevent diseases, but these things do not work. More harmful chemicals, antibiotics create shrimp products "not clean", while reducing the value of shrimp and harmful to users.
Therefore, the group spent many years to research and produce microbiological products from bagasse for shrimps. Sugarcane bagassets are associated with beneficial microorganisms that help to decompose organic wastes in the bottom of the pond, to limit toxic gases, effectively override disease-causing bacteria from shrimps, and help shrimp grow healthy.
