Previously, after harvesting rice, collecting straw and transporting it home was quite difficult because it took a lot of effort and money to rent a truck, so most of the straw after harvest had to be left in the fields, routes or processed by burning.

Now, in some localities, such as Can Loc district, Thach Ha district, Cam Xuyen district (Ha Tinh), about 2 days after harvesting rice, the straw has begun to dry, farmers have used machines to roll down the straw.

It can be seen that with a straw rolling machine, farmers are not only more leisurely but also earn a significant income from the money from selling straw. According to people's calculations, 1 hectare of rice will roll about 250 rolls of straw. Farmers have to pay a cost of 8,000 VND/straw roll. After deducting costs, machine owners have an income of 1.5 million VND/hectare of straw. In case farmers do not need to use it, they can sell it to the self-rolling machine owner for 10,000 VND/staw roll. Thus, people will have an income of about 2.5 million VND/hectare of straw.
