At the meeting, Minister Tran Tuan Anh said that the Government of Vietnam has many priorities for renewable energy development such as promulgation of renewable energy development strategies, setting specific targets for each type renewable energy forms in Power Development Master Plan 7, promulgating many mechanisms to encourage the development of each kind of renewable energy, such as wind (2011), biomass, garbage (2014) and sun 2017).

Mr. Ousmane Dione, the World Bank, is working to find ways to attract international and private sector expertises into the renewable energy market in Vietnam, and to avoid overpaying Vietnam's resources of recycled energy. Hence, Mr. Dione proposed legal frameworks, which regulate renewable energy, need to be improved, first of all from current regulations on prices.
