Using advanced technology in surveying solar power plants in Vietnam
Currently, along with the boom in solar and wind energy investment in Vietnam, the solutions to help manage and operate the most effective projects are also researched and developed. In particular, the use of drones and artificial intelligence technology has contributed a significant part to the operation and management of solar power plants.

In Vietnam, when it talks about unmanned devices, people will simply think of drones, but in reality, the drones uses in solar power survey are devices specialized equipment with thermal imaging camera with high resolution and stable image quality.

In addition, artificial intelligence (AI) is the technology that will make  decisions based on information data independently related to the set goals. AI uses tools like Machine Learning and the ability to automate intelligent behavior to analyze and make high-precision decisions.

Accordingly, in the renewable energy industry, particularly in the field of solar power, artificial intelligence has contributed a significant part to the operation and management of solar power plants. If the thermal imaging of a drone is considered to be the tip of the iceberg, the root of the problem will be discovered using AI.

Notably, the benefits of drones and AI technologies, machine learning, are shown: For abnormalities that need to be identified by a thermal recorder and cannot be determined by the naked eye, flying devices with thermal cameras. It is possible to find thermal abnormalities, such as overheating panels and accurate temperature measurement of these faulty panels. This data lets you know which modules are not operating properly.

The data collected by the flying device also allows you to locate faults in the solar power plant at the module. The aircraft complies with the standard IEC 62446-3, which allows measurement of the air temperature of the solar power plant, taking pictures with a resolution of 3-3.5cm / Px to give specific details in the report. The higher the thermal image resolution, the greater the error accuracy.

Currently, in Vietnam Veneria Energy is the first and only company in association with AVA ASIA Singapore to use AI PV360 artificial intelligence technology to detect root defects in string, combiner box, solar panels, the cables also provide a solution to increase the efficiency of solar power plants.
