In Vietnam, the amount of electricity used for industry accounts for 60% of the total electricity output of the country. Although the cost of electricity accounts for a large part in the operation of the business, businesses still do not pay attention to monitoring and minimizing wasteful electricity consumption. Besides, the conditions of natural resources exploited for energy production are increasingly exhausted; pollution levels, global warming due to greenhouse effects and world energy security; Many requirements of laws, circulars, decrees, and other requirements related to economical and efficient use of energy have been passed, for enterprises to operate the system with good control of energy.
From this fact, the project has proposed a highly flexible solution for the development of a highly flexible system of measurement, analysis, and management of energy consumption, suitable for businesses with a consumption threshold of about 1,000 TOE. According to the research team, the monitoring and analysis of power consumption data plays an important role in providing information to optimize resource use at enterprises.
Currently, many domestic enterprises have developed energy management processes according to ISO 5001, but these processes usually only collect monthly data to record numbers at electric meters by labor, causing data lag and error risk, there is no periodic data analysis.
In particular, the energy management system developed by major companies in the world is not suitable for small and medium enterprises due to high costs and requirements for integration with high IT management systems, hardware equipment provided by the system developer.
Implemented from January to December 2020, the project has achieved results, such as building energy management software with capable of instant data updating, data analysis over time periods, warning according to custom thresholds; developing technical plans, installing hardware and training the use of energy management systems in 4 pilot enterprises (Viet Nam Packaging Application Investment Limited Company, Song Cong Diesel One Member Limited Company, Hanoi Mechanical Company Limited, Seikico Vietnam Limited Company). |
