Comparison of epidural analgesia efficacy with ropivacaine Combined bupivacaine fentanyl for pain in labor at Can Tho obstetrics and gynecology.

Epidural anesthesia for pain relief in labor is widely used around the world for years. The results of several study showed that this method relieved better pain, less impacted on the process of labor and neonatal status. In Vietnam, there is no more work with Ropivacaine.
Objective of the study is to compare the effectiveness and side effects of the method of epidural anesthesia with ropivacaine with bupivacaine coordinate fentanyl for pain during labor in the maternity hospital in Can Tho city. Is used prospective, cross-sectional analysis method, a control group.
Results showed that the average age in the study 26.3 ± 6.7 years old R group, 25.6 ± 5.6 B group. After 4h VAS in group B group R 1.2 is 1.3. Side effects: nausea, vomiting, 17.4% in group B group R is 21.7%, chills in the group R is 4.3% in the group B was 8.7%, pruritus in group R 4, 3% in group B was 4.3%. The results showed that the method of epidural anesthesia with ropivacaine is continuous effective coordination analgesic fentanyl labor well, there is no complication and serious complication for both mother and fetus.
