Training class "Radiation safety"

In order to meet the needs of organizations and individuals that have one of the necessary conditions to request a competent authority to issue a license to use X-ray equipment and irradiation equipment, Can Tho City Scientific Information Center under Department of Science and Technology coordinated with the Hanoi Irradiation Center to organize a training class on "Radiation Safety" for radiation workers at facilities using radiation sources for 2 days, from September 13-14, 2023, at the Center's Hall.

Attending this training class, trainees will have access to general content about ionizing radiation; Interaction of radiation with matter; Recording radiation measurements; Biological effects of radiation; Protection against external radiation; Working principles of industrial nuclear control equipment, screening equipment, analytical equipment using radiation sources and related radiation safety issues; Guidelines for ensuring radiation safety for the use of nuclear control equipment in industry, screening equipment, and analysis equipment using radiation sources;
Instructions for ensuring radiation safety in the transportation of radioactive sources; Operating principles of medical diagnostic X-ray equipment and related radiation safety issues; Aspects related to optimizing radiation safety in medical diagnostic X-ray; Guidelines for ensuring radiation safety in medical diagnostic radiology. System of legal regulations on ensuring radiation safety; Control of occupational and public radiation;
Requirements to ensure radioactive source security; Radiation incident response plan; Organize radiation safety management at the facility; Guidance on planning to respond to radiation incidents at the grassroots level; Instructions for declaring and granting licenses to conduct radiation work and issuing radiation worker certificates; Quality management system for radiation work, facilities conducting radiation work and nuclear facilities.
At the end of the training course, trainees have an exam and are issued a course completion certificate. |
