Implementing the policy of the Politburo on "Summary of some theoretical and practical issues about the socialist-oriented innovation over the past 40 years in Vietnam" and the Politburo's Decision on the success established a Summary Steering Committee. On August 9, 2023, the Summary Steering Committee issued a Decision on agencies, units and localities participating in the summary.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Science and Technology was assigned the responsibility to summarize 02 contents: Developing a socialist-oriented market economy; Issues of cultural, social and human development development.

At the meeting, the Working Group agreed on plans and principles to summarize the theory and practice of each issue raised; At the same time, they agreed to carry out two tasks: Develop a report summarizing the theory and practice of developing science, technology and innovation to serve the development of a socially oriented market economy; Develop a report summarizing the theory and practice of science, technology and innovation development.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Hoang Giang highly appreciated the contributions of members of the Working Group. The Deputy Minister assigned units in the Working Group to research, develop a thematic report and synthesize the report to soon complete the Summary Report in the near future.
