Vietnamese fruit exports need a specific set of standards
Hundreds of containers of durian, jackfruit, banana, dragon fruit... will be exported to China but were suspended due to "the packaging facility code being suspended for violating plant protection regulations". Many opinions are shared regarding Vietnamese fruit exports.

Bananas, mangoes, jackfruit, durian and dragon fruit are Vietnam's main export agricultural products.

Previously, the Plant Protection Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) sent a written request to the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development of the provinces of Dong Nai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Tay Ninh, Vinh Long, and Long An. An, Binh Thuan, Tien Giang, Binh Phuoc, Dong Thap, Tra Vinh and regional plant quarantine departments strengthen control in fruit growing areas and packaging facilities exported to China.

The reason is that the General Administration of Customs of China announced the discovery of a number of shipments infected with plant quarantine objects (infected with pests, such as mealybugs) on bananas, mangoes, jackfruit, durian and dragon fruits of Vietnam exports to this market.
