Application of IT in managing and promoting Can Tho City Museum

In the afternoon of March 19, 2019, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology organized a Science and Technology Council to accept the project "Application of IT in managing and promoting Can Tho City Museum." The study was implemented by Mrs Huynh Thi Tuyet Nhung and Mr. Duong The Dung.

The research carried out aims to build a museum management information system; digitization of artifacts and documents of museum objects; build website and process of promoting museum artifacts.
Through the implementation period, the project has developed a method and created a set of museum artifacts, with 4,500 artifacts; build an information management system in Can Tho City Museum; build website promoting Can Tho City Museum; organize technology transfer training: develop documents and organize training, instructions for use and system administration; artifact information management system and Museum website promoting put into use and test operation at Can Tho City Museum.
After the completed information management system of the museum will contribute to characterize the application of information technology in the management of artifacts, professional work and the promotion of museum information according to the most specific, optimal and suitable characteristics of each locality. |
